• Information We Collect: We collect your basic profile info, university affiliation, app activity, and device data. If you link social media, we collect basic info from those platforms.

• Marketplace & Messages: We track marketplace transactions, but we do not store full credit card numbers. In-app messages are stored to function properly, but are never sold or used for ads.

• How Your Information is Used: We use your data to operate the app, verify your university status, process payments, and improve platform safety.

• How Your Information is Shared: Rooted does not sell your personal data. Your public profile and posts are visible to other users. Partner universities only receive generalized, anonymous data.

• Data Retention: Your data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days. Marketplace records may be kept for up to 7 years for legal compliance.

• Your Privacy Rights: You have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or opt out of promotional emails by contacting contact@tree-technologies.com.
