Terms of Service (At a Glance)

• Acceptance & Eligibility: You must be at least 13 and affiliated with a partner university (like Howard University). You are allowed one account and must provide accurate information.

• User Conduct & Community Rules: Treat others respectfully and follow your university's code of conduct. Harassment, spamming, bots, scraping, and illegal activities are strictly prohibited.

• Content Ownership: You own what you post, but you grant Rooted a license to display and distribute it to operate the app. Rooted can remove violating content at any time.

• Platform Features:

  • Marketplace: You can buy and sell items, but Rooted is not responsible for transactions or disputes. Selling illegal goods or weapons is prohibited.

  • Events & Messaging: Do not use messaging for spam or harassment. RSVPs are visible to event organizers. Rooted is not responsible for third-party events.

  • Elections: You may only vote once. Election manipulation will result in account termination and reporting to university officials.

• Legal Details: Rooted owns its app design and software. The app is provided "as is," and Rooted’s liability is limited to $100 or your last 12 months of payments.

• Account Termination: You can delete your account at any time. Rooted can also suspend your account for violating these terms.
